Impress Your Clients & Be Productive With The Perfect Process

Is it crazy town when you get a new client? A potential client shouldn’t cause you to go into panic mode. You should be excited and pull out your handy-dandy game plan to dazzle and impress. Give them a nice, positive experience right off the bat. Then keep them smilin’ with your brilliant and silky smooth process.

When a new client contacts you, what happens? Then what? And then what?

I’ll admit it, when I first started, I didn’t have a system other than a couple of checklists with things I needed to do when creating websites or logos. Other than that, I just did all on the fly. It got pretty stressful at times (especially with multiple clients at once) and I spent a lot of time emailing, looking up previous files and other mega time wasters.

Has this happened to you too? You need a good process. First thing to do is create a step-by-step of what happens. What happens when someone first submits your contact form/calls you/emails/buys something?

What happens next? Are they loaded into your project software or lead system? Do you respond? If not, what needs to happen?

Take a super clear look at how things work now and compare them to how they SHOULD be working.

But, maybe it could be even better…

Ya gots to have a plan. Yeah, you might know in your head what you need to do but I bet there’s a way to make your process better, easier and more streamline.

    Awesome post, Janet!

    There are some great tips in here 🙂 When I first started out, I always thought that I would get around to creating “systems” and “processes” once I felt established. Thanks to that attitude, I wasted so much time repeating things and starting from scratch with every client (especially the emailing part – answering questions, and starting the process with new prospects). Thanks for the great read !
